Compex Electronic Muscle Stim / TENS

Our Compex Muscle Stim unit uses specific low-level frequencies to increase blood flow, remove lactic acid, release endorphins, and promote muscle relaxation.

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is used for acute and chronic pain conditions and sends electrical impulses to certain parts of the body to block pain signals from being transmitted to the brain.

The following are contraindications for STIM / TENS. We recommend you consult with a medical professional with any medical questions or concerns

You should not use Stim/Tens: 

  • If you have a cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators or other implanted metallic electronic device
  • If you have epilepsy
  • Following acute trauma or fracture
  • Following recent surgical procedures
  • If you have critical ischemia of lower limbs
  • If you have Abdominal or inguinal hernia
  • over, or in proximity to, cancer or cancerous lesions
  • If you are pregnant
